A 12-BORE NEEDLE-FIRE DOUBLE-BARRELLED HAMMERLESS SPORTING-GUN, MODEL 'NEEDHAM'S PATENT', serial no. 10936,
circa 1870, with 28 1/2in. damascus barrels, the top-rib signed 'W. & J. RIGBY DUBLIN', the individual breeches with border engraved apertures, scroll engraved swing out turn-bolt breech-blocks, each with individual safety catches, the body of the left bolt marked 'W. & J. RIGBY' (nosecap of bolt replaced) and the right 'DUBLIN', fully engraved 'butter-knife' bolt-handles with bulbous tips, fully scroll-engraved top-tang, chequered walnut half-stock with iron heel-plate, border and scroll engraved trigger-guard tang, the bow engraved with a hunting dog, escutcheoned take-down key and horn tip to fore-end, the whole an old refinish
